Experience

Our speakers represent every facet of midlife health. Dr. Esnielle Brooks is a physician and menopause specialist; Tara Fitch, a registered clinical social worker, focuses on mental health and relationships; Jen Pilon, a naturopathic doctor, provides integrative wellness care; Kelsey Moreau is a pelvic health physiotherapist; and Arnold Killian, a menopause coach, specializes in lifestyle and behavior change. Together, they offer practical, evidence-based strategies to help women navigate hormones, health, and life with confidence.
Dr. Esnielle Brooks is a family physician, menopause specialist, and the founder of the WellPause Collective, a community and educational platform created to reframe midlife as a powerful, informed, and deeply human transition.
Rooted in family medicine, Dr. Brooks has spent years caring for women across all stages of life. Like many physicians, her early medical training offered limited preparation for menopause care. It was through her own health journey, alongside the growing needs and unanswered questions of her patients, that she recognized how profoundly under-taught and under-supported menopause truly is. That realization sparked a deep commitment to learning, advocacy, and change.
She is currently completing a postgraduate certificate in Menopause through the University of South Wales and a postgraduate diploma in Sexual Health through the University of Alberta.
In 2024, Dr. Brooks founded The Menopause Clinic, a dedicated medical practice focused on evidence-based, compassionate menopause care. She is a sought-after speaker and educator, delivering professional education for physicians through pharmaceutical-sponsored programs, as well as community workshops, public events, and women’s health forums.
At the heart of Dr. Brooks’ work is a passion for education, empowerment, and helping women feel like themselves again, physically, emotionally, and relationally. She believes menopause care must be grounded in science, shaped by lived experience, and delivered with empathy and respect.
Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Brooks is a wife and a mother to three young children. She understands firsthand the complexity of balancing identity, caregiving, ambition, and self-care in midlife and brings that perspective into everything she builds.
Through the WellPause Collective, Dr. Brooks is creating a space where science meets sisterhood, and where women are supported not just to endure midlife, but to reclaim it.
Dr. Brooks completed her North American Menopause Society certification in 2021, followed by advanced training and education through:
The North American Menopause Society (NAMS)
Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) Menopause Course
International Menopause Society (IMS) IMPART Program
